Operation S.A.V.E. Our Youth
This program is a 12-week revolving group that takes place throughout year. It is a psycho- educational, experiential group with a holistic approach working with teenagers struggling with mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, stress, academic problems, substance abuse, violence, anger management, emotion regulation, parent conflict, peer conflict, body image, etc. Some of the modalities we use include mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodrama, art, empowerment sessions, and more. It is a fun and interactive group where your teen can learn coping skills, distress tolerance, and tools to grow toward success and achieve their goals. Nexus Recovery combines evidence-based interventions with experiential, cognitive, and meaning-centered approaches to foster insight, empowerment, and long-term wellness. Participants are referred through clinics, outpatient programs, sober living homes, or by self-referral. Please call for more information and to schedule your intake session. Nexus Recovery for teens combines evidence-based interventions with experiential, cognitive, and meaning-centered approaches to foster insight, empowerment, and long-term wellness. Participants are referred by various other organizations, schools, clinics, outpatient programs, or by self-referral. Please call for more information and to schedule your teen’s intake session.
Life & Social Skills Training Program
This is a life skills and social thinking group for teens ages 13-18 (eligible for high school and not graduated) who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder or other individuals with disabilities. This group covers a multitude of issues such as time management, academics, household responsibilities, self-advocacy, how to think socially, conflict resolution, and more.
